Is eugenics only considered bad because it's associated with Nazi experiments?

Don't you think society would be infinitely better if certain undesirables weren't allowed to procreate? And isn't overpopulation the main contributor to atmospheric carbon? I think it's time we put this knee-jerk aversion to eugenics out of the debate and had a rational objective look at the pros and cons of eugenics, don’t you think so?
