What makes Google Chrome better?

I don't understand people's aversion to ie. I personally find the explorer browser extremely easy and user friendly, with simple layout that has many options and hot buttons. Chrome is hard to navigate, confusing, and offers very few browsing options. As for Mozilla Firefox, I used to prefer it to Explorer, I don't really notice much of a difference between the browsers, but I just prefer the Explorer interface and how ie adapts how it interacts with the user. Can anyone explain to me their beef with explorer and/or the merits of Chrome or firefox?
