HELP ME!!hairstyles please!!!!!!?

well im african american but i dont have a relaxer ./ my mom has band me from getting one. she has a hairstyle thats short and cute for her but she like almost 31 and im 13. she says that she will hot comb my hair ( yes hot comb instead of flat iron) but im kinda worried about her ability to do hair. i need hair styles for hot combed/flat ironed hair. my hair is not even medium length. it short.like halfway down my neck short. it brown but look black when straight. i wanted a kind of "emo:/rocker girl kind of look but one my hair really lond so most styles look weird and my hair isnt colored so ot looks sort of bland. thats why i want girly but kind of edgy. something easy to do but not to girly and not longish. PS THE MODEL PERSON THING SHOULD PROBABLY BE BLACK BECAUSE MY MOM, SAYS SHE THINKS THAT I THINK IM WHITE AND I DO NOT. IF THE HAIRSTYLES ISNT ON A BLACK PERSON SHE GET DISSAPOINTED AND WONT DO IT. BLACK PERSON PLEASE. also nothing with braids or something. OH AND MY BANGS ARE LONGER ON ONESIDE BUT THEY WONT REACH TO THE OTHER SIDE OF MY FACE. so nothing that you need bangs longer the maybe chin length. preferably ear length. DONT FORGET EASY,EDGY, AND ON A BLACK GIRL. FOR FLAT IRONED/HOT HOT COMBED HAIR ONLY. NOT FOR LONG HAIR. THX!!!
