How do I start a band?

I'm starting high school this year and I wanted to know how to start a band. Being from where I'm at, it's going to be hard to find many metalheads, as everyone listens to either rap or country (Awkward mix, eh?). At this rate, I'd settle for rockers, too. I don't want to get to where I'm settling for country. I don't hate any kind of music, I just... Don't listen to it and pay no mind to it, really. I'm decent on guitar and a good vocalist. I have a good friend who plays guitar, yes, but he's into rock, but mostly classic rock, like Bon Jovi. I have other friends, yeah. But they want to LEARN. Not to mention, I have no way of contacting them. Except for the one that wants to know bass. Anyway, you know the story. I'm 14. How the heck do I start a band?!
