Did I miss out on the high school experience?

Hi, I'm 22 and I came across some pictures from high school on my friend's Facebook. They were pictures of our graduation and senior prom and it just looked so happy and exciting because all the pictures had people posing and having fun. The only thing I did during graduation was some small talk with a couple friends and then left immediately after the ceremony. I didn't go to prom but I noticed most of my classmates did. I don't why I didn't go; I remember my mother actually insist I go since it seemed like I just sat at home all day. I believe part of it was that prom wasn't for me; it's people dancing and I have an aversion to dancing or really any social function. In fact, looking back I don't believe I did anything noteworthy in high school. I was a class clown but beyond that, I never participated in anything at all. All I did was stay out of trouble and get good grades, both of which I accomplished. I guess I just feel a little regret about missing out. I mean most things people did in high school, like having fun or dating or parties, I never did. I don't know, what do the people of the Internet think?
